Our view of the service
Primecare Limited provides care and support to older adults who may be living with dementia. At the time of our assessment there were 28 people using the service. The service is in the local community in a purpose built building with a garden. We visited on 18 February 2024. We looked at 5 quality statements; Safe and effective staffing; Consent to care and treatment; Responding to people’s immediate needs; listening and involving people; Governance, management, and sustainability. The assessment was unannounced.
People's experience of this service
The provider had developed systems to help ensure people were safe and protected from harm. The provider operated a safe and effective recruitment practices. There were enough staff working for the service to protect people’s needs. Where people did not have the capacity to consent, the staff acted in accordance with legal requirements. The provider sought feedback from people who used the service and their relatives and acted upon this. Regular audits and checks were undertaken to ensure the service was well run.
