Governance, management and sustainability
The registered manager and regional manager completed regular checks and audits. When a shortfall had been identified, action was taken to address this. Surveys were completed to check on the quality of the service delivered. When there had been comments indicating things could be done differently or better, these were discussed, and action taken. For example, a relative had raised an issue that key worker meeting had not been held as regularly as they should. This had been addressed with the member of staff to the family’s satisfaction.
The registered manager understood their responsibilities under duty of candour. They were supported by a regional manager. Staff understood their roles and responsibilities. Staff told us they felt supported by the management team. One member of staff said, “The manager is so lovely and helpful, and available at the drop of a hat. I feel 100% supported because they will take everything on board and always listen to me. I will go to the deputy manager or a senior too because they are always here, and I feel so appreciated by them.”
