Our view of the service
Bedhampton Nursing Home and Specialist Care Unit is a nursing home providing accommodation and personal care for up to 49 people. They are registered to support older people and younger adults with a physical disability, sensory impairment and dementia. We carried out our on-site assessment on 26, 27 and 29 February 2024; off site assessment activity started on 5 March and finished 20 March 2024. At our last inspection we found breaches of the regulations in relation to safe care and treatment and the governance of the service. At this assessment we found improvements had been made and the provider was now meeting regulations. The provider had developed a new management team who people, relatives and staff were positive about. A range of quality assurance systems were in place, and these were used effectively to ensure people received safe and high-quality care. The rating has changed from requires improvement (published 20 May 2023) to good.
