Our view of the service
We undertook this assessment between 23rd March and 10th April 2024. Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Healthcare is an independent charity that provides care for adults with life-limiting illnesses from North Lincolnshire and East Riding areas. Lindsey Lodge Hospice has 16 inpatient beds. We assessed 6 quality statements from the safe, effective, responsive, and well-led key questions and found areas of good practice and have combined the scores for these areas with scores from the last inspection. At this assessment, we found there was a strong focus on safety and saw managers investigated concerns appropriately. Staff involved people in decisions about their care and treatment and supported them to ask questions. The provider had clear and effective governance systems, which staff regularly reviewed. The assessment of these 6 quality statements indicated areas of good practice since the last inspection, therefore our overall rating remains good.
People's experience of this service
Patient satisfaction with the service was high with 531 compliments received 2023/24 and 1 complaint received in this time which was not related to the care and treatment of the patients. The Governance and Quality Assurance committee receive reports. The staff also received feedback from complaints and compliments. Patient satisfaction was recorded using web based service reviews.
