Caring
People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice.

Independence, choice and control
People's choices and preferences were included in their care plans. These were regularly reviewed and updated as people's needs changed. Key workers regularly met with people to discuss their care needs and wishes.
Staff understood person centred care and were able to explain how they ensured people were given choice and control in their lives. Staff spoke positively about people and gave examples of person centred care. For example, one staff member told us, "People are given choice over what they want, we always ask people what they want and they can always change their minds."
People told us their care and support plans were developed with them and they were consulted about any changes. People told us they met with their key worker monthly to discuss any changes that might be needed.
