Our view of the service

Prof-Care Limited is a domiciliary care service registered to provide personal care for people living in their own homes in the community. At the time of the assessment the service was providing support to 60 people. We rated this service under our previous methodology on 17 May 2018, where it was inspected and rated good overall with requires improvement in the key question of Effective. Assessment activity started on 7 March 2024 and ended on 25 March 2024. We visited the service on 7 and 12 March 2024. We looked at 15 quality statements. We looked at all the quality statements under the key question of Effective. We also looked at the following quality statements, Safeguarding; Involving people to manage risks; Safe and effective staffing; Independence choice and control; Providing information; Equity in experiences and outcomes; Governance and assurance; Partnerships and communities and Learning improvement and innovation. Although we found areas of concern at this assessment, until we have assessed more quality statements in safe, responsive, caring and well led, the rating for this service remains the same.

People's experience of this service

People told us they felt safe, knew staff well and felt confident to raise any concerns. People’s comments included, “They are ever so good, and I feel so safe and comfortable with the carers,” and “My care is very good.” Relatives spoken to were mainly positive about the support their family member received. Relative’s comments included, “We are very happy on the whole and [person] does feel safe with the carers which is good to know,” and “We feel [person] is well supported by them and gives us the peace of mind [person] is safe.” However, one relative commented, “we are not happy with their care at all."
