We served a warning notice on Charnat Care limited on 21 June 2024 for failing to meet the regulation related to staffing and ensuring staff receive training for their role at Agnes House.

Our view of the service
Date of assessment 28 February to 12 March 2024. We found one breach in relation staffing and the training staff received. We found new staff were not receiving an appropriate induction and other staff were not always completing refresher training to ensure their knowledge and skills were in line with current best practice. We found the providers statement of purpose and policies around safeguarding needed updating, which the provider complete during the inspection process. We found governance checks were completed but they were not always robust. We found some concern with monitoring charts for nutrition and care plans out of place. We found some concerns within the environment and were made aware refurbishment plans were being considered
People's experience of this service
People were not able to give us their view of the service. However people were observed interacting well with staff and had regular access to activities the community. We received mixed feedback from relatives about some aspects of the care provision. However, all were complimentary of the registered manager and the support they received from them.
