Patients told us they were involved in their care and treatment through attending ward rounds. Staff completed comprehensive patient assessments including regular physical health checks and delivered evidence-based care and treatment. Staff attended multi-disciplinary meetings where patients were involved in discussions about their care in a co-ordinated way between different services including external partners. Patients had access to various therapies and activities including occupational therapy, psychological therapies, and assistance with daily living activities. Patients were aware of their right under Section 132 of the Mental Health Act (these states as soon as a patient is detained under the Act the patient must be given their rights orally and in writing, unless it is not practicable at that time.
