Governance, management and sustainability

Score: 3

The provider had clear responsibilities, roles, systems of accountability and good governance in place. Staff used these to manage and deliver good quality, sustainable care, treatment and support. They acted on the best information about risk, performance and outcomes, and shared this securely with others when appropriate. All staff we spoke with told us they felt supported by the management team and knew where they could access guidance and support. One staff member told us “I cannot fault the support which has been given to me, it has been amazing”. The management team were driving improvements at the service by promoting and encouraging staff to develop their skills. For example, staff were offered additional training to expand their knowledge and were recognised at monthly team meetings “celebrating their success”. The service held daily huddle meetings to discuss any clinical issues or updates for people. There were effective quality assurance monitoring processes in place which highlighted any concerns or changes needed to ensure they were following best practice. The service was working with the model of care in line with current best practice guidance right support, right care, right culture.
